Dr Simon graduated from Monash University in 1975.

He’s come full circle in his extensive and varied medical career – He started in General Practice, and has now returned to General Practice!

After his hospital training, he became a partner in a large clinic in Port Melbourne. In that role he practiced family medicine, as well as occupational health and injury / Workcover case management.

During a break from Medicine in the 1980’s Dr Rosenbaum setup a successful computer business – playing a key role in the early use of small computers in the NSW Health Dept and in the Defense Dept. He also imported pharmaceutical and hair care products into Australia, and also promoted diabetic education software.

In the late 1980’s he had extensive training in Cosmetic Surgery in the USA, and when he returned to Australia he began active practice in all forms of Cosmetic and Skin Surgery – including Hair Transplants. He also created the Life.Be In It Stop Smoking Program, and opened the first airport medical clinic in Australia (Melbourne). He gained a qualification in Aviation Medicine.

Dr Rosenbaum was a pioneer in the use of medical lasers and ultrasonic liposuction. In 1999 he gained a Fellowship in the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery, and he was the National President of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia in 2003 and 2004. He co-founded the Australian Skin Clinics franchise in 2012. He has presented many times at surgical and anti-ageing meetings, and has been a clinical adviser to Allergan and other companies.

Simon retired from surgical work in 2020, and has now returned to General Practice, where he brings his extensive knowledge and skill set to complement the team at Marketplace Medical.
