Children’s health needs change quickly as they grow. Our doctors provide regular check-ups, immunisations and care for common childhood illnesses, and keep an eye on your child’s development along the way. If your child needs specialist care, we can arrange a referral and help coordinate it.

When to have your child's health checked
Regular health and development checks are generally recommended at these ages:

These visits are a chance to check growth and development, keep immunisations up to date, and talk through any questions you have.
Childhood immunisation schedule
Childhood vaccines are provided under the National Immunisation Program (NIP), with key vaccinations from birth through to around 4 years of age, and again in the school years. We can check whether your child’s immunisations are up to date and catch up with any that have been missed.

Frequently asked questions
Do you bulk bill children?
Yes – children’s consultations are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients, so there’s no out-of-pocket cost. Please confirm with reception when you book, as some services may have separate arrangements.
Can my child get their immunisations here?
Yes. We provide routine childhood immunisations under the National Immunisation Program. We can also check whether your child is up to date and catch up any missed vaccines. Book an appointment to arrange your child’s immunisations.
When should my baby have their first health check?
Health checks usually begin from birth and continue at regular intervals through early childhood – including around 1–4 weeks, 6–8 weeks, and at 4, 6, 12 and 18 months. These visits check growth, development and immunisations.
My child is unwell - can I get a same-day appointment?
We do our best to see unwell children promptly. Call reception on 07 5510 9222 or book online, and let us know your child is unwell so we can find a suitable time. In an emergency, call 000.
Do you see teenagers too?
Yes. Our GPs care for children of all ages, including teenagers – covering general health, immunisations, mental wellbeing and the changes that come with adolescence.
