When to have your child's health checked

Regular health and development checks are generally recommended at these ages:

Childhood immunisation schedule

Childhood vaccines are provided under the National Immunisation Program (NIP), with key vaccinations from birth through to around 4 years of age, and again in the school years. We can check whether your child’s immunisations are up to date and catch up with any that have been missed.

Do you bulk bill children?

Yes – children’s consultations are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients, so there’s no out-of-pocket cost. Please confirm with reception when you book, as some services may have separate arrangements.

Yes. We provide routine childhood immunisations under the National Immunisation Program. We can also check whether your child is up to date and catch up any missed vaccines. Book an appointment to arrange your child’s immunisations.

Health checks usually begin from birth and continue at regular intervals through early childhood – including around 1–4 weeks, 6–8 weeks, and at 4, 6, 12 and 18 months. These visits check growth, development and immunisations.

Yes. Our GPs care for children of all ages, including teenagers – covering general health, immunisations, mental wellbeing and the changes that come with adolescence.
